Frequently Asked Questions
Why We Meet? The Revival Prayer Connection meets to pray for revival in Tallahassee, in Florida and in the United States. We meet to beseech God to do what He alone can do and what He promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
What Are We? The Revival Prayer Connection is God moving in the hearts of pastors and congregants alike within our community to join together to pray for revival. This movement is not any one denomination or church as lead, but churches from across Tallahassee joining together to pray for revival. We are not a ministry, nor a church. We are a movement, seeking to facilitate the gathering of the saints, in order to pray for revival. We do not seek to replace or compete with any ministries, but rather to come alongside the body of Christ in its various forms as together we pray for revival.
What Do We Believe? We believe in the tenets of faith as stated in the Apostles Creed. We believe we are a people in need of revival... beginning most of all with us! In our hearts, our families, our churches. We believe when the Church comes together in unity, there the Lord bestows His blessing. We believe a change in our city can affect the world.
What will revival look like? Michael Catt of Sherwood Baptist Church says it well. Revival looks "like a 3,000 piece puzzle. It's multi-faceted, multi-colored, and multi-dimensional but it is a simple picture. If you look at the box, when all is said and done, it looks just like Jesus. Revived people look like Jesus, act like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and live like Jesus." That being said, some of the fruit of revival is churches:
* Returning - Seeing people return to their first love - Jesus.
* Adding - Daily adding to their number those who are being saved.
* Witnessing - a change in the Spiritual atmosphere - people open to the Word and to being transformed into the image of Christ.
* Repenting - people turning from sin and seeking to follow Jesus.
Who is the Revival Prayer Connection for?
